On the morning of October 27th, 2007, a foreign bulk vessel named YUANDA NO. 8 loading 4000t cargos successfully berthed alongside the Bulk Cargo Terminal of Dafeng Port. Cargos carried on the vessel were 1,400t old metal imported from Japan by Taiwa (Dafeng) Metal Material Products Co., Ltd. for the first time. This was also the first vessel carrying imported cargos berthing alongside Dafeng Port since its opening. Due to strict regulations on the import of old metal in our country, this import attracted attention from many sides, especially those port administration departments such as customs and commodities inspection department. Supervisors from the inspection departments of Nanjing, Lianyungang and Yancheng rushed to the site at the first time. As the agent of imported cargos, we performed the work of unloading the goods to the appointed place on the arrival of the vessel and customs clearance together with entry inspection declaration of commodity inspection department by checking on strictly, arranging considerately and coordinating with departments of customs and ship agent in advance, which ensured that the producing demand of our client was met. We become the pioneer of freight forwarder in foreign trade import in Dafeng Port. We have our professional freight forwarder and customs broker - the only one in Dafeng Port, which ensures fulfilling service related to port successfully.
