From January to July 2008, our company has achieved good performances in all business areas like commercial car transport, common freight transport, goods delivery car transport and container transport. In August, 2008, we won the bid of large article transport service from Yancheng to Wuhan. With Level-II Certificate of Large Article Transport issued by the competent traffic authority, the large article transport service will become the main part of company business in the aspect of domestic transport service.
The large article transport service from Yancheng to Wuhan mainly involves the removal of 6 sets of heavy-duty presses with the weight ranging from 500-1300t each from Dongfeng Yueda Kia Automobile Co., Ltd. to Wuhan. The total value of the cargoes is up to RMB 30 million. The gross tonnage of the 6 sets of heavy-duty presses is 1600t while the largest single piece weighs 100t. There are 12 components with oversized width, height or weight. With the optimal transport plan prepared by our Combined Transportation Department based on fully investigation and research on getting detailed dimensions and weights of all components, the company was finally awarded the Contract of Transport. The transportation of this batch of large articles started on August 12th, 2008 and would be fulfilled with the removal in succession before September 30th, 2008. During the transport period, our company would assign professional staff for site instruction and supervision during the courses of hoisting, seizing and transport operation, and perform whole-course tracking of on-the-way components, to make sure effective and safe acceptance for carriage of all components in all logistical chains.
